These track traction machines are powered by lead-acid batteries and are available in two types - ordinary and explosion-proof. The locomotive achieves precise speed control through frequency conversion speed regulation, and it can brake via air brakes or electric brakes. Made of metal materials, this locomotive is designed to withstand a certain range of low and high temperatures and can maintain stability even in humid environments for an extended period.

Precautions

When the coal mine locomotive brakes, the operator must first engage the electric brake to gradually reduce the speed and then apply the mechanical brake to come to a complete stop.

Using the third gear directly during electric braking is strictly prohibited. This is because the braking torque in this scenario is excessively high, posing a risk of damaging both the mechanical system and the motor. In order to ensure safety, it is important to follow this guideline and avoid bypassing it.

It is not possible for the driver to freely open the drive controller casing of the chopper speed-regulating coal mine locomotive and remove its components. Moreover, it is absolutely unsafe to operate the locomotive without the casing, leaving the metal exposed.
